Legacy Innovations’ Wide Body C3 Corvette Lands Cover of Chevy Hub Magazine

Updated: Apr 10

We’re thrilled to announce that our 1969 wide body Corvette has made the front cover of Issue 15/Fall 2024 issue of Chevy Hub Magazine! This isn’t just a spotlight—it’s a full 22-page feature, complete with jaw-dropping photography by John Machaqueiro and a deep dive into what makes this build so special. From its aggressive stance to the race-inspired engineering tucked beneath the skin, the article captures the soul of the project and the passion that drives every build here at Legacy Innovations.

In the article, Legacy founder Troy Spackman reflects on how the build evolved: “It wasn’t supposed to have this caliber of components on it… It ended up more of a race car than it was supposed to.” What began as a vision quickly escalated into something extraordinary—a fusion of vintage Corvette DNA and cutting-edge performance.

After being debuted at LSfest East, and a few other track events, the mechanical overhaul was underway. Winters Performance, another York based company, was helpful enough to lend us a mock up quick change to build the rear suspension around. The blue print engine was installed and a much more aggressive alignment was set for the car.

Today, with 3,500+ miles on the car, track times improving and most of the bugs worked out, we are ready to start again. We have developed a mounting kit for AP brakes, an aluminum spindle upright utilizing C7 hubs and a complete new rear suspension system.

We’re incredibly proud to see this labor of love receive national recognition, and we’re even more excited for what’s ahead. Be sure to grab a copy of Issue 15 of Chevy Hub Magazine.
